I am an Italian-Belgian artist, born in Flanders in 1963. With an academic background in psychology and economics, I continue to work in pharmaceutical development, while drawing and painting have long remained central to my personal and creative life.
Since moving to Terracina in 2022, I have fully re-engaged with my artistic practice and developed a distinctive painterly language grounded in the interplay between glazing and impasto. Using both palette knives and brushes, I create surfaces shaped by transparency, reflection, and material tension, through which I explore the body, movement, emotion, and the fleeting nature of lived experience.
My work is concerned with making inner states and human dynamics visible through a form of painting that brings together physical presence and perceptual fragility. It unfolds in a space where matter and transparency, gesture and evocation, seek a balance capable of conveying both emotional intensity and visual depth.
In recent years, I have exhibited in both institutional and independent contexts, including Mythos at the Museo di Palazzo Bellini, Florence (2025); Facè Arts, Venice (2026); Truglia Art, Sperlonga (2025); Porticata at the Porticato della Pinacoteca di Gaeta (2023–2026); and Segni della Materia at La Vaccheria, Rome (2026). In 2024, I received the Premio Capitolium at Galleria Angelica, Rome. I have also exhibited with Centopittori in Via Margutta, Rome, at the Forlì Art Fair, and in collaboration with galleries including Ikonica in Milan and Omniart in Latina.
